The Universidad Católica de Murcia (UCAM), also known as Universidad Católica San Antonio, is a private university located in Murcia in south-eastern Spain. It is the first Catholic University founded in 1996 in response to the call of the Church. Today, UCAM has 16,000 students and around 1,000 professors. Ten percent of the UCAM students come from 97 countries on 5 continents, which makes it a multicultural and wealth-generating centre. More than 4,600 international students from undergraduate, postgraduate and university-specific degrees, international offices and collaborating entities were trained at UCAM.
UCAM is one of the Spanish universities with the greatest number of programmes taught in English and the one that offers the highest number of degrees in this language in the Region of Murcia. The World University Rankings especially highlights the internationalisation capacity of UCAM. The Europe Teaching Rankings 2019 also placed UCAM as the 10th university in Europe in terms of teaching quality.
UCAM has around 340 renowned international strategic partners, among which are several leading colleges and universities around the world, such as UC Berkeley, Stanford, NTU. With these partners, UCAM has established students', staff and professors' exchange programmes, joint degrees and other kinds of academic collaborations.
